Funky Flowers - Happy Birthday

I really enjoyed colouring my new funky flowers doodle last night. I have decided to enter it into the Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge - I have only just come across them but they have some wonderful DT projects - worth popping by to have a look. I have used copics to colour image and some glossy accents and crackle accents for extra texture. A few die cut hand coloured butterflies - the challenge is for a project with wings. My Minds eye paper for background with hand doodled sentiment.

Welcome Tilly Teddy

Welcome Tilly Teddy is for this weeks Dare U 2 Digi stamp challenge which is a recipie - 1 ribbon, 2 patterned papers and 3 flowers along with a digi stamp! I have used a new doodle of Tilly Teddy - I have alot of friends babies due to be making an entrance soon , so thought I'd make a start on some cards. I have used a piece of DCWV ribbon, 2 patterned papers to paperpiece my digi stamp(both freebies from mags) 3 doodled flowers using Sakura pens. Some added Sakura to Tilly and round edge of card. Inking to edges of card. Basic Grey rubons sentiment.

James - On your Baptism....Allsorts Challenge 16

Tomorrow is a big day for myself and baby James - I am becoming his godmother at his baptism -and yes I am quite excited! Due to unforseen large amount of card requests I have been quite last minute with this one for me - just hot off the press as it were.
I had already decided that I would use this wonderful illustration by Mo Manning
and when I saw the challenge at Allsorts this week I thought it would be ideal.
They have banned rubber but digital is fine and no stamped rubber sentiments - so I have cut alphas and layered them. My image has the background paper pieced - it's a wonderful cloud paper from the Basic Grey Mellow range. I have coloured with copics and added a little Sakur stardust glitter and flocking to the clouds. The background and alphas are cut from Coredinations Vintage range - all inked at edges.

Polkadoodle time again!

Once again it is polkadoodling fun day Friday! A huge congratulations to the winners this week - Peggy - Dolly and Teri your projects were all fab.....I find it very hard every week to pick my favourite 3 as I'm sure do the rest of the team.
This week as my Dt card I created a fun card for Christie who is going to be 11 and is a keen cardmaker herself so thought I'd better put in extra effort here- it's a fab sketch
and really enjoyed working with it!
I made a circular card base and a smaller circle from coredinations vintage card - It does stand well - but couldn't get a decent photo as the light is still dire here. I attached Polkadoodles bunting around the top of small circle and attached to card base with foam pads. Polkadoodles Sugar Birdies Alphas were used for Christie and slotted between circles. A lovely big cake again Sugar Birdies - added a little Sakura to cherry and bow. The Flowers are also SB with inking at edges, faux stitching and shaping with scissor egdge. Stars are cut from Coredinations. Doodling round circle to finnish - using stardust Sakura outlined in white!
Pop over and see the other projects - all sorts of fun - for boys and girls of all ages! We all love seeing your creations and don't worry it's not compulsory to use Polkadoodles - but the products are hard to resist!

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Embossing

I have been so looking forward to using the beautiful set of flourishes stamps that I won recently and this seemed the ideal opportunity. Over at C.R.A.F.T. this week the challenge is embossing - it could be heat or dry or whattever type of embossing you fancy!
For my DT card I have used some coredinations vintage card as a base. I drew round a plate onto a piece of Bristol board (all very technical like!) then stamped around the lemon image added a few extra leaves and sentiment. Coloured with copics. Stamped centre area with lemons and heat embossed in clear to create a resist. Coloured over heat embossing with copics. Added the ribbon and hand tied a bow.

I am also entering this into the Copic Buzz challenge which is anything inspired by Nature - Flourishes that produce the lemons stamp are the sponsor this week - pop over and have a look! Some lovely creations by their D.T.

Poppy - Lola and her dog

Poppy is one of Hope's little friends and is going to be 3 this week! Her mum asked me to make her a card with a Lola theme as she is mad on Charlie and Lola. I have to admit Lola's dog is a wee cheet as it was a kit that came from a comic. Lola is paperpieced with Copics on her face. Some resin flower stickers and a few layered flower stickers from a kit.....'jobs a good un' as they say round here

I wanted to make a project using the shells and bits I collected on my holiday last month. It's another one of the bubble painting backgrounds. My image of Octavia coloured with copics and a crackle glaze finnish. I like the effect it gives - makes her look like she is underwater.

There is a lovely Joanna Sheen book as a prize from Anesha - thanks Anesha! Pop over and see all the really different projects this week!
I was having a bad day on Monday as my E00(skin white) copic had run out...what was I to do. Decided a refil was the best option - because I am obvoiusly going to go through alot of this colour. One of my friends asked me to make a card for Emma who is dog mad! What better illustration to use than Bella and Bronte by Mo Manning. This is for the ABC Challenge - A is for anything goes with the additional optional extra of animals!

Stef - not sure what a magic border is! I outline my images with a paler co-ordinating copic and then hand cut them out a little away from the pen outline....if that maskes sense.

Polkadoodles Challenge 13.....

This week over at Polkadoodles the DT were challenged
to make a two fold or more fold card using sugar birdies.
I love Polly Polkadoodle and these flowers are great for layering.

My Dt card is a trifold scalloped oval.
I cut a paper layer to matt onto card and decorated all panels with
images from the Cd.
Flowers are layered and secured with an eyelet.

I used a scalloped circle inside to write on with one of the cute birdies added.
A ribbon secures the card through eyelets on the outside ovals.

Lots of great projects by the Design team - pay them a visit at the blog and be inspired!
You don't have to use their images for your entry - and you could win some -
well worth a go I'd say!

All entries due in by Sunday 23rd August......

Drayton Lady atc swap - My Time to craft

Oh Liz! I am just getting organized - yes I am that organized person by nature -
just takes me a while to get there!
Recieved my swaps from the Drayton Lady swap on Trimmcraft on
Wednesday - thanks Cheryl, Sandie J and Crafty Critter!
So last night put on my thinking cap for this months swap....
I have combined my swap this month with the My Time To Craft challenge
which is neglected or forgotten stash!
"Underwater bubbles"
use a handmade background of bubble painting.
eyelets and ribbon and some hand coloured underwater
leather die cut creatures.
The neglected or forgotten item are the bracelet fastenings that I bought an age ago - thinking "oh! they could be good for something!" - gathering dust perchance!

Anyway had lots of fun doing these - atc's are cool and I always enjoy them - don't do enough!
I'm sure everyone has some neglected stash - go pay them a visit!
